Some parts impressed, others didn’t
Suruchi's hospitality was exceptional! ! Breakfast was delightful with fried bananas on homemade bread, and the room featured a cozy electric blanket that truly enhanced my comfort.
Limited dining options were disappointing, especially the absence of evening meals, and some rooms showed signs of tired furniture, which detracted from the experience.

Comfortable and spacious guest rooms with stunning mountain views.
During my stay, the breakfast options were quite limited, lacking variety and particularly vegetarian-friendly choices which I found disappointing. there were cleanliness issues. the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly during my stay, and we encountered a lack of basic amenities, such as extra cups and adequate toiletries. these aspects significantly impacted my experience, detracting from what could have been a truly wonderful stay.

Staying at Lane Head was truly delightful. The hosts, David and Suzette, were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room, the Superior Double Room, was clean and comfortable with amazing views. Breakfast was exceptional, featuring a wide variety of choices, including a delightful homemade bread option that was a highlight of our mornings. The location was perfect for exploring Ullswater and Aira Force. I did encounter a few minor inconveniences. The shower pressure was not quite strong enough, making it a bit frustrating. I wished there were more facilities for evening meals since dining options on-site were limited. Despite these issues, the hospitality really stood out, and the cozy atmosphere of the cottage made it all worth it. I'll happily recommend Lane Head for anyone looking for a welcoming getaway in the Lake District.

Lane Head offered a superb stay with stunning views and exceptional service. The host, Suruchi, provided a warm welcome and was attentive to our needs, even addressing a shower pressure issue. The four-poster room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a comfortable electric mattress topper. Breakfast was diverse and delicious, with both buffet options and various cooked dishes, including homemade pizzas that were particularly satisfying.
Shower pressure in the room was insufficient.

The location itself was stunning, surrounded by breathtaking
views of the countryside. I felt at peace during my stay and appreciated the warm hospitality from Suruchi, who catered to all our breakfast needs. The only downside was the limited lounge space during peak times, but it was cozy while we were there.
